The Lagos State Government has called on individuals and organisations to invest in the education sector.
The State Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folashade Adefisayo, made the appeal after she received the newly-constructed Temu Community Junior High School in Epe.
The Temu Community Junior High School in Epe was facilitated by Wale Raji, representing Epe Federal Constituency and hand it over to Lagos state government.
She said, “This project facilitated by Wale Raji, representing Epe Federal Constituency, being handed over to the Lagos State government is a laudable gesture and we call on other well-meaning individuals to invest in the education sector of the state towards ensuring a brighter future for the children.
“The governor is very happy with this project and all other school-related projects here. Each time I visit Epe, I am overwhelmed, seeing how Epe is developing.
“I want to assure you that we will continue to support this school and all other school-related projects in Epe.”
In his remarks, Raji disclosed that more classrooms will be built for the new school, urging the government to put in place pedestrian bridges and traffic lights in different parts of Epe, particularly Temu, T-junction, Itaopo, and other densely populated areas.
