Controversial Enugu Priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has been given a transfer from the Adoration Ministry.
The Church’s latest decision, it was gathered, is already generating protest from Mbaka’s followers.
The Adoration Ministry, which was shut down three months ago, was re-opened yesterday, Sunday.
Making the announcement, Fr. Mbaka stated that he does not know the length at which he will be out, confirming the appointment of Fr Anthony Amadi as the new Spiritual Director of AMEN, to be assisted by other unmentioned priests.
He said, “So, while I proceed to the monastery to continue with the remaining disciplinary exercises, as directed; I wouldn’t know how long; but the church has appointed Fr Anthony Amadi, one of us, to be overseeing all affairs of the ministry, to be assisted by other priests, pending my return, by the grace of God,”
Mbaka has been sent to Monastery. The transfer is with immediate effect.
Mbaka’s trouble started three months ago after he preached against Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.
