The Governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has increased the salaries of the state’s civil service.
He gave the approval of the process to increase salaries of workers on Tuesday while addressing the workers at the state secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja.
The governor said that there is a high level of inflation in the country which made him increase the salary.
He said further that he had instructed the head of service office and the ministry of staff, training, and pensions to commence the process.
“I have looked around and I know that as a country, there is pressure, I know that, as a country, there is a high level of inflation.
“At our cabinet meeting, I instructed the head of service office and the ministry of staff, training, and pensions to start work on how we are going to increase the entire salary of our public servants,” he said.
