Excitement and jubilation rent the air in Kano on Saturday when the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ahmed Bola Tinubu arrived the state for various campaign functions.
Top among the campaign functions, it was gathered, is to open his campaign offices in Kano State.
This is part of Tinubu’s vows to take his campaign to the nooks and crannies of the country.
The former Lagos State governor was welcomed by a rousing crowd excited to see the APC presidential candidate.
He was received by thousands of supporters at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport.
Tinubu was also received by the Governors of Kano, Jigawa and Zamfara States, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar and Alhaji Mohammed Bello Matawalle, who thronged the state with hundreds of their supporters.
According to the programme of the visit, Tinubu will also pay a courtesy call on the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero and as well as hold an audience with the Emirs of Gaya, Rano, Bichi and Karaye.
The APC flag bearer will hold an interactive session with members of the Tijjaniyya sect, Kadriyya Movement, Ahlus Sunna, CAN leadership, APC support groups in the state, among other functions.
