Governors elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have reiterated their readiness to provide the necessary support for a smooth power transition and the success of the incoming administration of the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This was as they paid a congratulatory visit to the incoming president, led by their Chairman Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State.
At the meeting, the governors pledged to work with the party’s leadership to ensure the orderly management of key government formation processes, including the election of the principal officers of the National Assembly.
They said they were ready for any assignment the President-Elect deems fit to give them, expressing confidence that his administration will meet its promise to Nigerians.
In response, Tinubu thanked the governors for their loyalty and commitment to duty. He emphasized the importance of unity and togetherness to the success of the party and the incoming administration, particularly in overcoming the challenges ahead.
“This is our government,” Tinubu said, “The challenge before us is working in unison with the party leadership and the National Assembly over the election of their principal officers. And I charge you to unite in spirit and faith and work in line with the party.”
On fifth columnists speculating falsehood about his health, the President-Elect said “All speculation have perished and their purveyors brought to shame.”
