Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso has relished his side’s win over hosts Argentina while setting a target of clinching the FIFA U-20 World Cup title for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Nigeria stunned the world when they beat hosts and favorities, Argentina 2-0 on Wednesday to make it to the last eight of the ongoing competition.
Speaking after the game, Bosso said his side won’t get carried away with the victory, assuring that they will remain humble and focus to ease their path.
He also revealed that his side wants to to win the competition in order to be the first team to give President Tinubu a trophy.
He said, “I dedicate this victory to our new President,” Bosso said after the game.
“We will be the first team to give him his first trophy.
“I said it in Abuja that the tougher the start, the easier the end for us,” the tactician added.
“We have faced difficult teams like Brazil, Italy and now the host nation.
“We will remain humble and focused so that it will be easy for us.”
