In a startling turn of events, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party Gubernatorial Candidate for Lagos state in the recently concluded election, has backed the coup in Niger Republic.
Rhodes-Vivour took to Twitter on Friday to describe the couple as a movement that “unites around a common interest.”
This disregard for the principles of democracy came as a shock to many, particularly considering Rhodes-Vivour’s position as a candidate in a democratic process.
Coming with the backlash were allegations that Rhodes-Vivour sourced his supporting video from propaganda accounts originating from Russia and Niger Republic.
It will be recalled GRV had in the past been accused of misrepresentation of events and fake news with his accompanied photo of the transportation system in Lagos amid the fuel subsidy removal still fresh in the public space.
