The member representing Aba North and South federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh, has allegedly assaulted and threatened to murder a Bolt driver who delivered a package to him over what he described as the driver’s “disrespect” to him.
In a video of the incident recorded by the Bolt driver, which has now gone viral, Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh, popularly known as Onye Ocha na Aba, was seen assaulting the Bolt driver and threatening to make him disappear for daring to talk to him in a certain manner.
“Do you know where you are? Do you know who I am? So, you think I will give you my money with the way you have spoken to me. You will not see penny from me. With this level of disrespect, you’re very stupid. Very very stupid”, the APGA Rep Member was heard shouting at the driver.
The Rep Member then proceeded to call a lady who apparently is the vendor who sent the package to the lawmaker through the Bolt driver. During the call, he was heard saying: “who is this stupid boy that you sent to this my house? Who is this foolish boy that you sent to my house? How can this stupid idiot come to my house and tell me that I am supposed to come and meet him in his car and pick up…(not clear) that I’m buying from you?”
The Lady on the phone was heard telling Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh that the bolt driver doesn’t know who he is. The Abia lawmaker immediately retorted, “Can you imagine this rat? I can make this man to disappear in the whole Nigeria and nothing would happen! Can you imagine this rat!”
“I am not going to give this boy one Naira of my money. I’m not going to give this silly boy one Naira of my money.
“I pray that you insult me. I am not going to call my policemen to beat you up. I will beat you up. I will show you that I am a big brother to you. I will slap the hell out of you and I will lie you down, lock you in my generator house. How dare you!
“Do you know who you are talking to? Do you know where you are? Because you saw me sitting outside here? Look at this monkey o. Wait o, are you even looking at me that you can beat me?”
At this point, the lawmaker began assaulting the Bolt driver by slapping him twice saying, “do you know who I am? I am a Senator of the Federal Republic! Do you know who the fuck I am? How dare you? You see this place, you’ll suffer. I will deal with you!”
In a second video, the Bolt driver was seen making an SOS appeal to his fellow Bolt drivers to come to the location and assist him. He also showed his shredded clothes and accused the Lawmaker of being behind it.
