The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) says it has temporarily suspended the shutdown of indebted broadcast stations. The Director General, Balarabe Shehu Ilelah made this known in Abuja on Friday. Ilelah said that the commission has received positive responses from the debtors licenses, including big players in the broadcast industry. He revealed in a statement that the commission has resolved to temporarily suspend the shutdown order against the debtor broadcast stations across the country. As part of efforts to forestall crimes on the transportation system, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved N718.19 million to provide security services on the 45-kilometre Abuja rail tracks and stations.
