The former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo has challenged the European Union Election Observation Mission’s (EUEOM) final report on Nigeria’s 2023 polls, labelling it as a “reflection of a one-sided narrative.” In the report, the EUEOM accused Keyamo of sharing false information on February 12, wherein he allegedly promoted content from a suspicious website that accused the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi, of bribery.  The report further stated that the story quickly became viral but was debunked within a few hours. The Federal Government has issued a stern warning to point-of-sale (POS) operators, urging them to refrain from any attempts to raise transaction fees. The government emphasized the serious consequences and sanctions that would follow such actions. According to recent reports, the Lagos chapter of the Association of Mobile Money and Bank Agents in Nigeria (AMMBAN) had recently introduced a new price list for POS transactions within the state.
