Napoli could be without their in-form striker Victor Osimhen in the first leg of their all-Italian Champions League quarter-final against AC Milan on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old forward picked up a knee injury while on international duty for the Super Eaglea in March and has since missed Napoli’s last two Serie A clashes against AC Milan and Lecce.
The club were, however, full of hopes that the player would be ready to face Milan on Wednesday but are now sweating on his fitness less than 24 hours to the game.
Reports from Italy claim the Nigerian forward trained alone instead of joining the squad training and later headed off to the gym.
The player is expected to undergo a few rounds of medical tests on Tuesday to ascertain his fitness ahead of Wednesday’s tie.
Osimhen has been outstanding this season for Napoli, scoring 25 goals in 29 matches in all competitions.
He is currently leading the Serie A top scorers list with 21 goals and four assists.
