The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe state has said it will appeal the court verdict affirming Bashir Machina as the party’s candidate for Yobe north senatorial district. On Wednesday, a federal high court directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognise Machina as the APC candidate for the senatorial district. The Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kolo Yusuf has ordered local security groups to stay back from any political campaigns in the state. It reiterated to senior police personnel to be professional in the execution of their duties. Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has restricted the movement of tricycle and shuttle bus unions in the state. The operation of touts operating in motor parks in the state was also stopped.
