Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court, Ikeja, Lagos State, has sentenced a 22-year-old man, Abiola Emmanuel, to two years in prison after defrauding residents. The convict was arraigned on one count of retention of proceeds of crime. National Examinations Council, (NECO) has released this year’s Senior School Certificate Examinations, (Internal) results. The number of candidates who made Credit and above in the English language is 889,188 representing 74.89% while the number of candidates who made Credit and above in Mathematics is 929,140 representing 78.23%. The result also shows that the number of candidates who made five credits and above including English and Mathematics is 727,864 representing 60.74%. Total number of candidates who actually sat for the examination is. 1,198,412 out of 1,209,703 actually registered for the examinations.

The Federal Government has warned the stakeholders in Nigerian football to abide by a Sept. 15 order of the Federal High Court not to conduct the proposed NFF Elections. Recall that the Nigeria Football Federation had scheduled Friday in Benin for the elections into the 2022 to 2026 NFF Executive Committee. The Federal Government has approved N29.083bn for projects in the Ministry of Works and Housing and Mines and Steel Development. The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, disclosed this to State House correspondents after the weekly council meeting chaired by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.). Two siblings in Ibadan have been arrested for alleged fraud by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) . EFCC Head of Media, Wilson Uwujaren, announced the operation in a statement on Wednesday. A joint task force in Bauchi State has arrested a fake medical doctor after performing a failed surgery that led to the death of a patient.
