The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Plateau State, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, has announced the party’s readiness to flag-off its campaign in the next fortnight.
Yilwatda said that the APC campaigns in the state would be issue-based; while basking in confidence that the party will come out victorious in the elections.
Speaking to journalists in Jos, the state capital, he called on the people of the state to support the party at all times, vowing to run a free, fair and an all-inclusive government if given the mandate.
He said, “We, the APC, would carry out issue-based campaigns; we would embrace the upcoming campaigns and elections with utmost responsibility, patriotism, and care for our state and country.
“I call on the people of the Plateau State to continue to support our party at all times,” he admonished.
“We have the confidence that we will win the 2023 elections from the House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, Governorship, and the Presidency, we will deliver; we are fully prepared and ready to go for the campaigns,” he added.
Yilwatda further stated that if elected governor of the State, his administration would focus on revamping the economy of the state.
“I want to be a Governor of Plateau State, not a Governor of my tribe.
“If given the mandate, we will run a free, fair, and all-inclusive government, where Plateau youths will be engaged and empowered to become economically self-reliant,” he said.
