Ahead of the flag-off the All Progressive Congress presidential campaign, President Muhammadu Buhari will on Friday at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja unveil the manifesto and policy document of presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
President Buhari will also at the event inaugurate the APC Presidential Campaign Council to formally flag-off the party’s campaign nationwide.
Buhari heads the APC campaign council and in his commitment to the party’s victory at the poll, has assured he will deliver the votes to ensure victory for Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima at the poll.
With his popularity in the north, President Buhari is expected to mobilise the Northern votes for Tinubu as the APC seeks to consolidate on the achievements the Buhari’s administration has racked up in its last eight years.
Buhari, during the ongoing three-day ministerial retreat in Abuja, scored his administration high as he highlighted a litany of achievements his administration is responsible for across all sectors, especially in infrastructural revolution and agriculture.
Meanwhile, Tinubu has pledged to consolidate on the achievements of the Buhari’s administration while assuring that areas that need to be tackled and improved on will get adequate attention and effective treatment.
The APC had in September released a 422-member campaign council list ahead of the kick-start of campaign activities across the country.
The party also inaugurated the Tinubu-Shettima Women campaign team for the 2023 general election two weeks ago in parts of its preparation for the official flag-off of the party’s campaign activities.
