The National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to ratify former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje and ex-Senate spokesman, Ajibola Basiru as acting chairman and secretary.
It was gathered that an emergency meeting of the NWC will be held today in Abuja.
The meeting is expected to resolve the rescheduled date for the postponed National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings of the party
It was also gathered that the NWC will present the agenda for the NEC meeting to President Bola Tinubu tomorrow.
Meanwhile, acording to the Nation, a key component of the proposal, according to an NWC member, is the recommendation of former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and ex-Senate Spokesman Ajibola Basiru as acting chairman and secretary respectively of the ruling party
It was also revealed that a part of the agenda is the reviewed membership of the party’s five statutory committees which will also be presented to the NEC next week.
The meeting, however, billed for today will hold discourse on the recent development in the NWC following yesterday’s resignation of Salihu Lukman as the national vice-chairman (Northwest).
