The Super Falcons of Nigeria were on Monday honoured with a prestigious reception at the State House in Abuja on Monday, August 14th, as the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, hosted the event.
Accompanied by the esteemed guests, including the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, and the wife of the Senate President, Mrs. Ekaette Akpabio, the First Lady warmly welcomed the players into the State House, expressing her appreciation for their outstanding achievements.
Recall the Super Falcons were among the three African nations who made it to the Round of 16 of the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The Randy Waldrum-side, against all odds, qualified after an impressive first round where they came second to Group B winners Australia.
