The Governor of Imo State and candidate of the APC in the 2023 Imo Governorship election, Sen. Hope Uzodimma has been re-elected for a second term after securing a landslide victory at the polls.

At the end of the collation at 08:30 am on Sunday, Governor Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had won all the 27 local government results announced with a total vote tally of 540,308 votes.

The People’s Democratic Party came a distant second after its candidate Samuel Anyanwu garnered only 71,501 votes. The Labour Party and its candidate, Athan Achonu came third with a total of 63,581 votes. None of these two candidates won any of the 27 local government areas in Imo State.
