…calls on Soludo to resign if overwhelmed by burden of governance
The Knights of Sir Paul Chukwuma (KSP), a popular support group dedicated to the realisation of the governorship project of Sir Paul Chukwuma (Onwa Umueri), the Pro-Chancellor of Olivia University, is set to intensify its mobilisation efforts at the grassroots especially at the wards and polling unit clusters as the battle to rescue Anambra State from the disastrous reign of Prof. Charles Soludo and APGA becomes intense.
This decision was taken at the Expanded Executive Committee meeting of KSP, which took place on Sunday in Awka and had in attendance Local Government Coordinators and Lady Organisers from the 21 LGAs in Anambra State in addition to the members of the State Working Committee. At the meeting, far-reaching decisions were taken after reviewing its activities in the past couple of weeks.
At the meeting, a critical appraisal of the just concluded zonal tour embarked upon by KSP to the three senatorial districts was carried out. Future activities to be carried out by the Knights of Sir Paul Chukwuma were also discussed including tour of some local government areas in the state with certain political peculiarities with the aim of strengthening the KSP structure and message in those areas.
The meeting also reviewed the current state of affairs in the state, especially the complete breakdown of security in many parts of the state leading to Anambrarians living in fear and not knowing where and when the next insecurity incident will strike. While speaking on this issue, the Convener/State Coordinator of KSP, Hon. Ikedinobi J Rapuluchukwu decried the trivial attitude of the Soludo administration to security of lives and properties of the people and called on the governor to step aside if he is overwhelmed by the burden of providing leadership to the people of Anambra State.
Hon. Ikedinobi also lamented that Soludo has taken Anambra into a “Solutionless” era characterised by excessive taxation, extortion, government-sanctioned brutality, lack of transformative direction in many sectors, emasculation of the local government system and most importantly complete lack financial transparency. He appealed to the executive members of KSP at the meeting to go back to their various local government areas with a message of hope to their people, and mobilising them to come together and rally round Sir Paul Chukwuma who is coming with a clear blueprint to rescue the Anambra ship from being completely sunk by Soludo and APGA in 2025.
The meeting also discussed about the APC governorship primary, expected to take place within the next six months and reiterated the resolve of KSP as a support group to aggressively mobilise party members and stakeholders to support Sir Paul Chukwuma, noting that he is the only individual today who can galvanise ndi Anambra to send Soludo and APGA packing in the November 2025 governorship election in Anambra State.
According to Hon. Ezealor Chekwube, the KSP State Director of Re-Orientation, Sir Paul Chukwuma is coming with a clear mission of responsible governance anchored on HIS three pillars, with security,Improved infrastructure and Social welfare being the foremost one. He stated that the highly educated businessman and philanthropist will bring a different face to governance in Anambra once elected as Soludo’s successor in office. He urged members to de-emphasize the zoning argument, which according to him has not really brought any meaningful impact to ndi Anambra except the political elites in APGA. He contended that what is paramount now is to rescue Anambra State from the clutches of Soludo fangs of dictatorship and cluelessness.
Various speakers who made remarks at the meeting affirmed their total commitment to the Sir Paul Chukwuma governorship project and promised to redouble their efforts in their LGAs to mobilise a solid mass of supporters to join the Sir Paul Chukwuma rescue train, with the target being ordinary Anambrarians who have suffered under the rudderless leadership of Prof. Charles Soludo.
The highlight of the meeting was the presentation of progress reports by the KSP Coordinators in each of the 21 local government areas of Anambra State.
