Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka in Anambra State popularly called UNIZIK has announced the expulsion of Miss Goddy-Mbakwe Chimamaka Precious, a 300L student of the institution who assaulted a lecturer from Department of Theatre Arts and Film Studies, Dr. Chukwudi Michael Okoye.
The announcement was contained in a statement released on Friday by the Acting Registrar, Victor Modebelu.
Modebelu said that Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University acted on the recommendations contained in the report of the Student Disciplinary Committee that investigated the matter.
According to the statement, Chimamaka was found guilty of gross misconduct and violation of the Students Disciplinary Regulations, particularly Regulation 4.
“The Ag. Vice-Chancellor, consequently, on behalf of the University Senate, approved the Committee’s recommendation that you be expelled and you are hereby expelled from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka,” the statement stated.
