President Bola Tinubu has extended felicitations to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on the occasion of his 60th birthday, praising his commitment to the advancement of Lagos State’s infrastructure and public service.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu lauded Sanwo-Olu’s dedication to the vision of transforming Lagos into a modern metropolis. He highlighted the governor’s successful completion of the Blue and Red Rail lines and the ongoing preparations for the Purple Line, which is set to serve the strategic Lekki corridor.
The President urged the governor to maintain this positive momentum by prioritizing impactful projects such as the Fourth Mainland Bridge and the Freedom Way to Victoria Garden City (VGC) Road, both of which are crucial to easing traffic congestion and boosting connectivity in Lagos.
Tinubu also wished Sanwo-Olu good health and many more years of service to Lagos and Nigeria. The statement recalled that Sanwo-Olu’s political career began under Tinubu’s mentorship and that he has held various important roles within Lagos State’s government, including commissioner positions and as Managing Director of the Lagos State Property Development Corporation.
