Having made history by defeating Mali in Sunday’s final, D’Tigress cemented their place as Africa’s most dominant women’s basketball team. This unprecedented fifth title further solidified their legacy in the sport.
President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu hosted the team at the Presidential Villa. The President commended their “dedication, teamwork, and consistency,” emphasizing the significance of their feat to Nigeria’s global image in sports.
