President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that his government is resolute in pursuing inclusive growth across all regions, stating emphatically that “no Nigerian is second-class.”
According to a Monday statement signed by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, the President emphasized that the oath of office he took is the compass that guides his administration’s policies and projects.
“The oath I took guides every bridge, road, rail, power, and health project we deliver,” he said.
Highlighting key infrastructure, Tinubu listed the Lagos–Calabar highway, Sokoto–Badagry Superhighway, Port Harcourt–Maiduguri rail, and Abuja–Kaduna–Kano expressway as projects meant to unify the nation rather than divide it.
Healthcare infrastructure, according to Tinubu, is also being upgraded nationwide, alongside the approval of metro rail lines in states such as Lagos, Ogun, Kaduna, and Kano. He further pointed out that over 250,000 jobs have been created under his watch.
On energy, he said that the refurbished 255-megawatt power plant in Kaduna is restoring electricity in the region. Additionally, the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) gas pipeline has successfully crossed the River Niger, further boosting energy infrastructure.
“In the South-South, bridges in Onitsha and Bonny are reconnecting communities while oil exploration has been expanded in Bauchi and Gombe,” the President said.
Reassuring Nigerians, Tinubu concluded: “This is the equity of Renewed Hope. No Nigerian is second-class, no region is left behind. Together we will rise as one nation, one people, and one destiny. Bet on Nigeria.”
