A faction of the Obidient Movement in Anambra State has declared its support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s second term ambition, describing him as a leader with integrity and proven performance.
At a press briefing in Awka, the group’s leader, Hon. Ikenna Azomchine, who is also known as Obidient General, explained that their endorsement followed a careful review of Soludo’s administration. According to him, the governor’s achievements and leadership style reflect the principles of good governance that the Obidient Movement believes in.
“We are followers of integrity, credibility, and performance,” Azomchine said. “Our support for Governor Soludo is based on merit and not influenced by any form of inducement.”
He further stated that many members of the Obidient Movement in the state have shifted their support from the Labour Party to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), as they believe Soludo has proven himself through his policies and development projects.
“Governor Soludo represents the values we stand for as true Obidients,” he added.
