President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, following the retirement of Justice Olukayode Ariwoola on Thursday. Justice Kekere-Ekun took the oath of office and signed the oath register at 11.40 am at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja on Friday. The federal government has approved the upward review of the cost of obtaining Nigeria’s passport. This development was announced on Wednesday by the Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Immigration Service, DCI KT Udo. The NIS spokesperson in the press release noted that the upward review of the passport fee is part of the federal government’s efforts to maintain the quality and integrity of the Nigerian standard passport. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has announced a net profit of N3.297 trillion for the financial year ending December 2023. This profit is a 28% increase from the N2.548 trillion profit the company recorded in 2022.
