The Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Niger state, Emmanuel Umar is excited that the Team Nigeria is leaving the Tokyo Olympics with something to show for their efforts.
Emmanuel Umar praised the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports, Chief Sunday Dare for leading Nigeria to glory.
He said, Sunday Dare ranks first among Nigeria’s most clever, analytic and pragmatic Ministers.
“Let me be honest with you, if there is any minister that has brought directions and policies into bear, it is Dare”.
The Niger state born administrator stated further that it is unfortunate that some people don’t appreciate what the minister has done in 2 years.
“I have great respect for the minister, what he has achieved within short period of time none of the previous ministers achieved such in a long while”.
Umar stressed that Dare risked everything to inspire Team Nigeria athletes to podium finish at the Olympics inspite of attendant issues that confronted team and in all objectivity he has set a progressive path for sports development in Nigeria.
“Do you know how much his budget was?,” Umar asked rhetorically. Despite the paucity the man put himself under pressure to do a thankless job”.
Going forward, Honourable Umar want Sunday Dare to ignore the naysayers and concentrate further in building a lasting and rewarding future for Nigerian sports.
“There is a day I looked at Sports Minister and I said Oga you are killing yourself on the people that won’t even appreciate what you are doing. It is better you keep doing your best and worry less about naysayers”. The commissioner stated.
