Ex-Manchester United defender, Jaap Stam, has advised his former club to opt for Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane in the summer instead of Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
The Dutch coach gave the advice to the Red Devils while speaking with Manchester Evening News, recently.
According to Jaap Stam, England international, Kane, knows the English Premier League (EPL) very well compared to Super Eagles forward, Osimhen.
Both strikers are currently in high demand after their exploits in their domestic leagues and Champions League and have been linked with a summer move to Manchester United
Kane has scored 29 goals in 47 matches in all competitions for north London club, Tottenham, while Osimhen has found the back of the net a total of 28 times in 36 games across competitions for Serie A outfit, Napoli.
Speaking about who he thinks will take Man United to the next level in the coming season, Stam suggested Erik Ten Hag should consider signing the England captain.
He said: “Kane knows the Premier League well. He has proven himself at Spurs, and he is one of the best goal-scorers in the world, he knows the level of play there and what is expected from him and what he can bring to the table.
“So, you can bring in a player like Kane and of course, you would be doing a very, very good deal for Manchester United in bringing him in.
“I think Osimhen, he is sort of a different type of player. For him, he needs to get acquainted with the Premier League at first. It can go fast, but it can also be a struggle for him at times as well.”
