Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has flagged off the Lagos market trader money. N750m will be distributed to 15,000 beneficiaries in the State under the scheme.
Media aide to Sanwo-Olu, Jubril Gawat, made this known via his X handle on Thursday, February 15.
According to Gawat, traders in different Local Government Areas across the state received N50,000 each.
He wrote: “Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu flagged off the distribution of N750million financial intervention scheme tagged “Lagos Market Trader Money” for 15,000 beneficiaries.
“Mr Governor fulfilled his promise he made at the launch of the Lagos Food hub, Idi Oro Mushin, as 250 traders from each of 20 local governments and 37 Local Development Council Areas (LCDAs), as well as 750 beneficiaries identified from markets within the Police barracks and military formations across the State, on Wednesday, received N50,000 each.”
