In a recent development within Nigeria’s political arena, Comrade Odih Rowland, a notable figure in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has officially returned to the party following a brief departure to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) just three weeks ago.
In a heartfelt letter addressed to the National Chairman of the PDP, dated August 27, 2025, Comrade Rowland expressed his sincere apologies for his recent decision to decamp from the PDP to the ADC on August 1, 2025. He acknowledged that this move was a grave mistake and highlighted the positive impact the PDP has had on his political career for over two decades.
Comrade Rowland conveyed deep remorse towards the PDP leadership, members, and supporters for any disruption his decision may have caused. He emphasized his appreciation for the party’s values of truth, justice, and internal democracy, which reaffirmed his decision to return.
Further, he expressed admiration for the party’s leadership and its demonstrated capacity to win the 2027 elections, stating his belief that his return will significantly contribute to the PDP’s success. The National Chairman’s office officially received Comrade Rowland’s apology on August 28, 2025.
