Troops of Operation Hadin Kai in the North East have achieved another success in their battle against insurgents, killing five Boko Haram and ISWAP members in Borno State.
According to security sources, the operation took place during a special mission under Operation Desert Sanity IV at Dipchari, a known Boko Haram crossing route in Bama Local Government Area.
The troops, drawn from the 151 and 152 Battalions, acted on credible intelligence and launched a surprise attack that led to a heavy gunfight. Five terrorists were killed in the encounter, while several others escaped with injuries.
During the raid, soldiers also arrested individuals suspected to be the group’s logistics and drug suppliers in Ngala, disrupting key supply routes and movement channels used by the insurgents.
Military authorities said the operation has weakened the group’s logistics network and reaffirmed the commitment of the theatre command to maintain pressure until all remaining terrorist cells are destroyed across the North East.
