A popular member of the Obidient movement has resurfaced on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), sparking controversy after being accused of scamming several individuals in a previous fundraising and investment scheme.
The individual, identified by several users as Oluomo, had earlier faced public backlash over allegations of mismanaging community funds linked to the “COS” project, as well as diverting money contributed by supporters of the movement abroad, particularly under the “NIUK” fund.
In a post that reignited the controversy, X user @BayoSalako47 wrote:
“Look at this community thief who was accused of stealing NIUK funds and committing COS fraud, failed to clear his name but he is back on X trying to scam more people. Don’t you have any shame, Oluomo Ole? Are you not embarrassed for spoiling your family name? Ole Omo.”
Despite the unresolved allegations, the embattled activist reportedly announced plans to host a “financial training session” aimed at helping young Nigerians manage and grow their income — a move that has stirred widespread criticism and skepticism among users on the platform.
Many X users have called for accountability and urged the public to exercise caution, citing the individual’s previous controversies and the lack of clarity regarding the outcome of earlier fraud accusations.
As of the time of this report, the accused Obidient figure has not publicly responded to the renewed allegations or provided evidence to refute claims linking him to the NIUK and COS fund mismanagement.
