A Nigerian music video producer and the founder of Nouvelle Films, Femi Dapson, celebrated Valentine’s Day by displaying romantic messages for his partner, Simisanya, on large digital billboards in Lagos, Nigeria.
Dapson shared the gesture on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in multiple posts on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, where he is also known as Uncle Dapson. In the posts, he shared photos and videos showing Valentine-themed billboard designs dedicated to Simisanya.
The billboards were placed in Lekki Phase 1 and Lekki Phase 2, two busy areas in Lekki, a major district in Lagos State, south-west Nigeria. The displays were visible to motorists and pedestrians, drawing attention in the area as the messages ran throughout the day.
Simisanya reacted online, saying she was surprised by the public display and expressing gratitude and affection in response.
The romantic display comes as public Valentine’s Day gestures continue to attract attention on social media, with many couples sharing proposals, gifts, and large-scale surprises that quickly spread online.
Dapson and Simisanya got engaged in July 2025 after he proposed in an intimate setting. They later held a family introduction in November 2025, which is a customary step in many Nigerian families ahead of marriage. The couple has also said their wedding is scheduled for March 2026.
