Washington, D.C., United State – United States President Donald Trump has expressed intense anger at several well known conservative commentators because they oppose the current war with Iran. On Thursday, the president posted a message of almost five hundred words on social media to criticize his former supporters.
The president directed his anger at Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones. These four individuals are prominent podcasters and television personalities. They have loudly criticized the president for starting the war, claiming he broke his promises to avoid foreign conflicts. Some of them also accused the president of starting the war because of pressure from Israel.
This disagreement shows a clear split among supporters of the president and his political movement. This division could create major political problems for the Republican Party before the midterm elections coming up in November.
In his social media post, the president called the commentators trouble makers who just want free attention. He wrote, “They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too!” He also claimed that television networks fired them and no longer invite them on air because nobody cares about them.
The president has fought with some of these people in the past. During his first campaign for president, Megyn Kelly was a host on Fox News. She asked him a difficult question about negative things he had said about women. The president mentioned this event on Thursday and said she asked the question in a nasty way.
He also made personal insults against the others. He mocked Tucker Carlson for not finishing college. He said Alex Jones deserved to lose his money after a lawsuit over his false claims about a school shooting. He also spoke about Candace Owens, who recently claimed that the wife of the French president is a man. The president insulted Candace Owens by saying the French First Lady is much more beautiful than she is.
Candace Owens replied on the social media website X. She suggested that the president is getting too old, writing, “It may be time to put Grandpa up in a home.”
Alex Jones also replied on X to say he is happy to have nothing to do with the president anymore
