Obianuju Catherine Udeh, known as DJ Switch, and self-described activist ‘Rinu Oduala have been refused asylum in Canada and are presently ‘holed up’ in the Benin Republic, according to Dr. Kemi Olunloyo, an investigative journalist who has been following the matter. An independent investigative reporter, Dr. Kemi Olunloyo has revealed that the controversial journalist, David Hundeyin, has been rejected an asylum bid by the United Kingdom. Reporting this on Twitter, Dr. Olunloyo wrote that David Hundeyin’s application “based on Nigeria’s anti-gay law” did not convince British Immigration and therefore was turned down.
