Some financial experts have commended the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for its decision to redesign the naira, saying that it would have positive effect on the economy. Two terror suspects have been arrested by the Department of State Services operatives who stormed the Trademore Estate in the Lugbe area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on Monday. The security operatives were said to have shut the entrance and exit gates of the estate while the operation lasted. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday set up a committee to probe the source of leakage to the media of  N10 billion allegedly missing from its coffers. The money was said to be proceeds of sale of nomination forms for 2023 general elections. This was contained in a statement by the spokesman for the PDP, Debo Ologunagba. Part of the money was allegedly paid to members of the National Working Committee (NWC) as “housing allowance”. A Federal High Court, Abuja, on Monday, dismissed a suit filed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) against Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi, the presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Labour Party (LP) respectively.
