Optimism and commendations have greeted the much-awaited list of ministerial nominees consisting of 28 persons set to form the cabinet of President Bola Tinubu’s administration in his quest to lead the country to greater heights.
Tinubu on Thursday submitted the ministerial nominees list to the senate for screening and confirmation with some more expected to be submitted in sequel.
The Senate President Godswill Akpabio read the names on the floor of the Senate during plenary.
The ministerial nominees comprised former governors, economists, health experts, lawyers and allies of Mr Tinubu.
They include; Abubakar Momoh; Amb. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar; Architect Hammad Dangiwa; Hanatu Musawa; Chief Uche Nnaji; Beta Edu; Doris Aniche;; David Umahi ; Nyesom Wike; Mohamed Badaru Abubakar and Nasir El- Rufai. Others are Ekperikpe Ekpo; Nkiru onyejiocha; Olubumi Ojo; Stella Okotekpe; Uju Kennedy; Bello Mohammed Goroyo; Dele Alake; Lateef Fagbemi and Mohammed Idris.
Others are Edu Muhi; Waheed Adebayo; Imma Suleiman; Ali pate; Joseph Utsev from Benue; Abubakar kyari; John Eno and Sani Abubakar Damladi.
Reacting to their nomination, Nigerians commended Tinubu for the insightful and informed choices made in personnel to serve in his cabinet, noting their seemliness to public governance in respect to the present challenges confronting the country.
Popular TV Presenter, Oseni Rufai applauded the choices made in the list, going on to suggest some positions which some of them should occupy.
He wrote, ‘’Prof Pate is another good one for Health.
”Beta gets health. Beta did some work in Cross-River as Health Commisioner.’’
”PBAT factored in technocrats, techno-politicians, women, youths, experience, political considerations, competence, etc.”
