The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has expressed confidence in Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration, praising his strides in governance and development nearly three years after assuming office.
The commendation came after a three-day fact-finding mission carried out by the State Executive Council of the party. Members toured key infrastructure and social development projects spanning the state’s three senatorial districts.
Governor Oyebanji, elected in October 2022, has drawn on his rich background in public service—having previously served as Chief of Staff and later Secretary to the State Government—to strengthen governance structures in Ekiti.
APC Publicity Secretary, Segun Dipe, hailed the governor’s commitment, saying: “Since Oyebanji assumed office some three years ago, he had put his hands on the plough and had not looked back in ensuring that Ekiti State got a befitting facelift and held its own among the comity of states in Nigeria.”
Among the inspected projects were roads, hospitals, educational facilities, agricultural farms, power installations, the Ring Road Phase 1, and the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport.
Party Chairman, Olusola Elesin, praised the governor’s achievements: “There is no doubt that the governor (Oyebanji) has done a yeoman’s job. He has performed creditably well, even beyond our expectations. Little wonder the good people of the state are heaping praises on him and yearning for his second term in office. We will surely ensure that the governor comes back to complete the works yet to be completed and do even more.”
The APC highlighted progress made in road construction, job creation through agricultural investments, and revitalization of dormant state-owned enterprises. According to the council, these interventions have positioned Ekiti as an attractive investment hub.
The party also noted improvements in education, healthcare, and the Ease-of-Doing-Business ranking, which have elevated the state’s reputation.
From enhancing security to achieving financial discipline, the council said Governor Oyebanji has set Ekiti on a path of stability and long-term growth.
