Nigeria and Real Sociedad football star Umar Sadiq has been diagnosed with a rupture of his anterior cruciate ligament. This development was confirmed by the club through its official Twitter handle earlier today.
The football star who recently made the move from his former side Almeria suffered the unfortunate injury during Real Sociedad’s 2-1 defeat to Getafe in the La Liga over the weekend.
Sadiq had gone down during the game clutching his knees in pains while the physios attended to him while many fans hoped it wouldn’t be a serious injury.
Unfortunately, it has now been confirmed after series of diagnosis that he had indeed suffered the long term injury which could keep him out of action for the rest of the season.
