The China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) handling the reconstruction of the Port Harcourt to Maiduguri narrow gauge railway says it has completed the laying of tracks on the Port Harcourt to Aba section of the eastern narrow gauge railway. The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has revealed that the complete automation of passport applications will commence on January 8, 2024. The minister said this during an inspection tour of the facilities of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in Abuja.
