Former Delta State Governor and current Senator, Ifeanyi Okowa, has publicly affirmed that President Bola Tinubu is successfully restoring stability and revitalizing hope within Nigeria. He made these remarks on Monday during a national summit hosted by the Integrity Group of Nigeria (IGN) in Abuja, themed “Renew Hope Agenda through Continuity.”
Senator Okowa, who was represented at the event by his former Special Adviser on National Assembly and Inter-Governmental Relationships, Pascal Adigwe, emphasised the critical need for President Tinubu to continue his tenure to fully realize the positive impacts of his governance policies.
Describing Tinubu as an “action president,” Okowa highlighted the President’s proactive approach to governance and accountability, which marks a departure from some previous leadership styles. In his words, “Tinubu’s decisions might be tough or rough, but they are yielding positive results. Tinubu is bringing stability. He’s bringing back hope. He’s taking the bull by the horn. He’s not referring to issues in the past or how the past was governed. He promised Nigeria that he will come to the saddle and take responsibility. That is what he has done.”
Okowa further expressed his unequivocal support for President Tinubu’s re-election campaign in 2027. He praised the President’s dedication to national responsibility and insisted that the ongoing policies and reforms warranted continuous leadership to secure further development.
“We have come, not with liability but assets to make what you have built better. We are coming with our experience, with our knowledge of the terrain. We are coming with love. We are coming with resources to better the lot,” Okowa stated. He urged various support groups across the country to commence preparations toward ensuring Tinubu’s successful re-election, emphasizing that the President’s efforts deserve recognition and backing.
The IGN Convener and National Chairman, Dr. Oke Idawene, also spoke at the summit, commending President Tinubu for his readiness upon assuming office and his commitment to national progress. “The message of this afternoon is no other than to say never again shall we allow those who are stealing Nigeria’s prosperity to lead us again,” Idawene asserted. He also noted that under the current administration, students have gained access to loans and that security dynamics are gradually improving. He mentioned that progressive governors nationwide are already mobilizing to ensure a decisive victory for Tinubu in the 2027 elections based on his commendable governance.
Senator Binta Garba added her voice, recalling the challenging situation Nigeria faced at the onset of Tinubu’s presidency. “When Tinubu came on board, things were not moving well for the country, but he was able to turn things around,” Garba said, expressing optimism that the “renewed hope initiative” will continue to foster national improvement through continuity in leadership.
Former Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen, called on Nigerians to unite in prayer and provide the necessary support required to enable President Tinubu to continue steering the country toward progress. She pointed to recent successes, such as the All Progressives Congress’s strong performance in by-elections and Nigerian female athletes winning international accolades, as positive indicators of the administration’s impact.
Prof. Nora Daduut, Pro Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, who was honoured as the “mother of the day” at the summit, praised the Integrity Group of Nigeria for organizing the event. She encouraged members, particularly women, to actively promote and sustain the message of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
This national summit reflects growing support within Nigeria’s political landscape for President Tinubu’s governance vision and highlights the increasing momentum behind his bid for re-election in 2027. Through collective efforts and sustained backing, key stakeholders assert that Nigeria’s current trajectory under Tinubu promises enhanced stability, national development, and hope for the future.
