An investigative journalist, Dr. Kemi Olunloyo has called for the immediate arrest of Rinu Oduala, David Hundeyin, and DJ Switch for their leadership role in the October 2020 #EndSars protest.
Tweeting early this morning, Dr. Olunloyo listed the names of the three individuals and further wrote that “all need to be arrested, prosecuted by the Nigerian government for the October 20th 2020 insurrection in Lagos.”
Dr. Olunloyo who has had a long-running record of exposing prior unknown issues to the public equally claimed that Oduala, Hundeyin, and Switch “shared N340M cash and bitcoin donations with the others, fled and shopping asylum while inciting youth on social media.”
It could be recalled that Dr. Olunloyo had earlier in the week revealed that the asylum application of Hundeyin was rejected by the UK government and that he is “holed up in a West Africa safe house in Benin Republic.”
This revelation adds to the public dissatisfaction with the account tendered by Rinu Oduala and co on how the funds raised during the #EndSars protest were expended. Various individuals on the internet have called out the worrying trend, questioning the character of self-styled activists seeking good governance but have been accused of embezzling the resources put under their care in a short period of handling power.
