Cristian Chivu’s career has taken another leap as he is set to take over as the head coach of Inter Milan, just months after ensuring Parma’s safety in Serie A. The move follows Simone Inzaghi’s exit after a crushing defeat in the Champions League final.
Chivu, who enjoyed a successful playing career with Inter, is seen as a promising coach despite his limited experience. “I thank the club, staff, players and fans for having believed in me and our project,” said Chivu on Instagram, reflecting on his time with Parma.
Inter Milan is banking on Chivu’s potential, offering him a two-year contract worth 2.5 million euros per season. His first match will be against Monterrey in the Club World Cup, a significant test early in his tenure.
