The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has received heartfelt condolences from President Bola Tinubu following the death of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda.
Mama Lydia passed away on Sunday morning at the University of Jos Teaching Hospital at the age of 83, a development that has drawn sympathy from political leaders and community members.
In his condolence message, conveyed by Special Adviser Bayo Onanuga, the President paid tribute to her memory, describing her as “a woman of virtue who lived a life dedicated to faith, service, and the uplifting of her community.”
Tinubu encouraged Prof. Yilwatda to remain strong and take comfort in the legacy left behind by his mother.
He added: “President Tinubu prays for the repose of the soul of Mama Yilwatda and beseeches God to grant Prof. Yilwatda, the entire family and all those Mama left behind the strength to bear the loss.”
