The Rivers State Police Command has successfully apprehended a suspected car snatcher, identified as Felix Clark, along Abacha Road in the Government Residential Area (GRA) of Port Harcourt. The arrest occurred during a routine patrol when officers intercepted Clark, who was riding a bicycle suspiciously.
According to a statement released by Superintendent Grace Iringe-Koko, spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, the suspect was stopped on Wednesday, May 5, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. Upon searching Clark, police discovered seven master keys in his possession, a significant find that raised suspicions about his involvement in multiple vehicle thefts.
Further investigations led officers to Clark’s residence, where they recovered a stolen red Hyundai Sonata bearing the registration number EKY 531 GG. The vehicle had been previously reported stolen to the police.
Superintendent Iringe-Koko disclosed that during interrogation, Clark provided critical information about his accomplices, revealing the operations of his gang members across Lagos, Delta, and Edo states. The police are currently pursuing these leads to dismantle the wider criminal network.
The statement from the police reads: “On Wednesday, May 5, 2025, at 11:30 hours, operatives from the Anti-Cultism Unit, led by Assistant Superintendent of Police Attah Alih, intercepted Felix Clark, who was riding a bicycle along Abacha Road, GRA. Upon search, seven master keys were recovered from the suspect, who was immediately taken to the station for further questioning. Following his arrest and interrogation, a red Hyundai Sonata with registration number EKY 531 GG, previously reported stolen, was recovered from his residence. The suspect has made a useful statement and identified other gang members operating in Delta, Edo, and Lagos States. Investigations are ongoing, and further updates will be provided as developments unfold.”
