A United States Air Force C-17 aircraft has delivered military equipment to the Nigerian Air Force as part of an ongoing defence partnership between the United States and Nigeria.
The U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) disclosed the development in a post on X, describing the delivery, which took place last weekend, as a demonstration of the growing security cooperation between both countries.
According to AFRICOM, the equipment is part of a Foreign Military Sales agreement aimed at strengthening the U.S.-Nigeria defence partnership and supporting Nigeria’s efforts to combat terrorism and other security threats in the region.
“Partnership in action,” AFRICOM said, while highlighting the delivery as part of efforts to deepen bilateral security cooperation.
The command said the military equipment would support the Nigerian Air Force in its counter-terrorism operations and contribute to broader regional security efforts. 
The latest delivery underscores the continued commitment by the United States and Nigeria to strengthen military cooperation and enhance Nigeria’s capacity to respond to evolving security challenges.
