Days after being detained by the United Kingdom immigration office, Labour party presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Peter Obi has denied knowingly breaking any law.
Obi, however, admitted that sometimes mistakes can be made.
The LP presidential candidate stated this in a tweet on Tuesday.
Recall the Labour Party had in the wake of Obi’s release stated that the former Anambra state governor was detained by the UK immigration office on impersonation grounds.
Letters written by concerned individuals and media houses to the UK immigration office to get an official statement from them on why Obi was detained got responses that ‘they do not comment on individual cases.’
This has since given rise to thoughts that Obi may be facing an ongoing criminal investigation as legal experts claim that cases of weighty offences are most likely to see government officials go discreet on revealing details in order not to compromise investigation process.
