First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, in the company of esteemed government officials, will host a special send-off dinner for the Super Falcons national team as they prepare to represent Nigeria at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The prestigious dinner, organised by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), will be held Saturday at the renowned Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.
The event to be attended by eminent attendees such as the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, Ismaila Abubakar, and other sports officials, will be a celebration of the team’s achievements and an opportunity to express collective encouragement and well-wishes for their upcoming campaign.
During the dinner, the NFF President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, the General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi, and other representatives of the football body will be present alongside the Super Falcons players, technical staff, and administrative officials.
The occasion will also welcome corporate leaders, members of the diplomatic community, and various stakeholders from the football fraternity.
Following this event, the Super Falcons, who are nine-time African champions, will embark on a 15-day training camp in Australia before the commencement of the tournament set to take place from July 20 to August 20.
