Dear CBN,
Have you ever wondered why Nigeria’s currency continues to fall despite efforts to strengthen it? Look no further than Mr. Herbert Wigwe, the ‘Oga Nlá’ of Access Bank Plc, who allegedly operates a private university where transactions are conducted in USD, undermining the Naira.
This practice extends beyond Mr. Wigwe, with many indigenous organizations and individuals conducting business transactions in USD, contrary to the 2007 CBN Act. The Act clearly states that the Naira is the legal tender in Nigeria for any payment.
To achieve President Bola Tinubu’s vision of a #RenewedHope for Nigeria, we must crack down on economic activities that harm ordinary Nigerians. President Tinubu has the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy by addressing these challenges and ensuring economic integrity.
May Asiwaju succeed against all odds.
