Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reiterated his commitment towards the development of talents in the creative industry in Lagos State.
Speaking on his appearance at the Lagos State Constellation of Stars event held on Saturday, the governor expressed his delight at seeing talents who are making the country proud.
He wrote via his official Facebook account that nothing beats the feeling of knowing that Lagos State is the epicenter of cultural renaissance and creative energy.
He said his administration will continue to advance the creative industry through strategic partnership with brands like The Headies, EbonyLife Academy and so on.
He said, “It was an awesome gathering of movers and shakers of the Nigerian music industry this evening at the Lagos State Constellation of Stars.
“It was also a great moment of pride for me as the host to see young men and women who are making our country proud as cultural ambassadors to the rest of the world. No greater feeling than knowing that Lagos is the epicentre of this cultural renaissance and creative energy.
“Our administration continues to catalyse the creative economy through partnerships with The Headies, Del York Creative Academy, Ebonylife Academy, Africa Film Academy and other enterprises that help our young people discover their talents.
“We will not relent in our drive to ensure the creative and tourism sectors become major drivers of our growth and development.”
The event was organized by the Lagos State Government in collaboration with Headies Awards
It featured entertainment stars like Yomi Fash-Lanso, Kachi Nochir, Ejike Asiegbu, Kalu Ikeagwu Keppy Bassey, Eucharia Anunobi; musicians, Buju, Sunny Nneji, and founder of Africa Movies Academy Awards (AMAA) Peace Anyiam Osigwe among others.
