The Senate president, Ahmad Lawan has urged Muslim faithfuls to imbibe the virtues of Prophet Mohammed.
Lawan admonished Muslims on the occasion of the celebration of Maulud Nabiy (Prophet Muhammed Birthday celebration).
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Ola Awoniyi, he enjoined Muslims to emulate to imbibe the virtues of love, tolerance, fairness and justice in their personal lives.
He established that such is what Prophet Mohammed stood for and what Muslims should project in the society.
“I felicitate fellow Muslims as we celebrate the birth of Prophet Mohammed and what he stands for.
“As we mark this occasion, we should imbibe the virtues of the Prophet which include peace, love, tolerance, humility, fairness and justice.
“It is by imbibing these virtues in our personal lives and as a people that the celebration of his birth can have meaning,” Lawan said.
